The smallest pizzeria in the world could not have begun life unless it came from something bigger, like that of the bond between father and son for example. It was the years when Franco Pepe worked in the family pizzeria, the one that is still open today; the place where his father, Stefano, had a small table near the fire. It was on a regular basis that Stefano would share the most precious moments and stories, like that of discovering a giant porcini mushroom and telling those nearest to him where he found it, how he cooked it and the best way to taste it. It was there, at that small table, where Stefano created a private space, away from the hustle and bustle of the public.
